absinthe won’t make you hallucinate, however REAL absinthe has thujone in it, its not allowed in the US, i have some nice stuff i brought back from Europe with Thujone, and it is a very nice buzz. Rutgers University tested the effects of thujone and said that it does have certain psycoactive properties,so thats most likely what causes any different affects

I had a lot of Absinthe on Halloween. I was an absinthe fairy, so it was somewhat of a requirement to at least bring a bottle. It wasn’t even the good stuff and I hallucinated that I was the life of the party. Theblue told me otherwise the next day.

Absinthe’s price-to-buzz ratio is hardly worth the premium in either expense or difficulty in procurement. If you want to get fucked-up, buy a bag of weed and a 12-pack of your favorite bubbly beverage.

Awww shit, I still have a half bottle left over from Halloween that I snagged from Prague two months back. It cost about $50 and was really quality stuff. 35% Thujone is the legal limit in the EU but it DOES NOT make you hallucinate. That was the old thought but the most Thujone will do to you is give you faint muscle spasms (which I dint experience).
If you serve it the right way, it doesn’t taste too bad, but drinking it straight tastes like shit. I will say however, at 75% alc, it doesn’t take much to fuck you up lol.
