I’m asking because when my car needs parts, I usually have two options: the Toyota part (usually NipponDenso) or the Geo part (usually AC Delco)… The AC Delco parts are usually cheaper.
Also, when I buy plugs and wires, I have similar options… The AC Delco wires are a little more expensive than the Borg-Warner ones… are they worth it?
I’m guessing the answers will vary just like the “Which oil is best” question. You’ll hear - “Well, I have a friend who used blah blah and it broke.” Then you’ll hear the rumors like, “I heard that Delco parts are now made by Honduran children for $0.02 an hour, but they used to be good parts.”, or “All car parts are made by one manufacturer and just relabeled.”
I’m not sure there’s any way to really make an informed statment on it. I’d use whichever is cheaper.
ok… i just put a Purolator PCV valve in… it was a slightly different shape than the original (AC Delco?) part, but it still fit… you think it’ll be alright?
i know this probably sounds dumb as hell, but i don’t really know shit about emissions related stuff.
