accessory belt info on a 2001 Stratus RT... help pls

I’ve been scouring the internets but can’t find any info on this.

My girlfriend has been having car troubles and it turns out one of the belts is hanging in her engine bay. I’m not really familiar with this car. Does the alternator have it’s own belt or is run off of a serpentine belt? What kind of tensioner system is on it? If it’s a serpentine as I suspect, what the fuck would cause the belt to come off? bad tensioner? bad belt?

check to see if one of the pulleys is locked up. if 2.4 4 cyl the AC compressors go bad. check all the idlers too. and look at condition of belt to see if dry rotted as it could be 8 yrs old as things with age do break

I’m not down in OC or else I would have just fixed the shit by looking at it… trying to tell a girl with no mechanical ability how to do this over the phone FTL.

i had one that had a crank dampner go bad, wobbled the pulley real bad and threw the belt
