I had a dream last night that because my car was being repaired from the deer damage, it had a salvage title. BAD dream huh!
But, it made me think,since I went through my insurance to fix the damage ($2K) worth, will it show up on a car fax?
This would make it in-eligiable for a CPO when I trade it in next year :meh2:
insurance claims dont show up on carfax… only police reports do…and they VERY seldom get that right…
Nice, the cop didn’t even do a police report because he didnt’ think it was over a grand in damage.
depends, my insurance claim for a break in showed up, but its not a salvage unless the car was considered a total loss.

as said before, only if a police report was filed or if the damage was serious enough to deem the car totalled.
I find that hard to believe, carfax claims a complete vehicle history report
its shows up as a insurance reported incident on my truck, not as a vehicle break in or what every else it would show up as.
A car with body damage would not be salvage title unless the car was claimed a total loss.
