SCHAGHTICOKE — A 48-year-old man was killed Saturday evening when his motorcycle crashed in Schaghticoke, according to State Police.
Thomas J. Vinehout, of Hunt Road in Pittstown, was pronounced dead at a hospital after his 2008 Harley Davidson left the roadway, police said. The bike flipped and ejected Vinehout from the vehicle, police said.
The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Master Road, which is also County Route 114.
Fatal accident in Rensselaer County under investigation
RENSSELAER COUNTY - A deadly accident in Rensselaer County is under investigation.
It happened on Route 7 and Tamarac Road in Pittstown. The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office says one car swerved into the other lane and was hit head-on by a delivery truck.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for evaluation. The name of the victim has not been released.
