Haven’t heard much, but rt 66 in AP was shutdown from near Deaths residence down tward old rt 66 last night/early morning. Sounds like a fatal. Hoping it’s not someone I know.

Damn, I wonder if that’s what I drove past last night… It wasn’t closed off yet so it might have just happened. Everyone was looking in the woods and I saw a boot sitting on the shoulder. RIP to whoever it was

SAND LAKE — A 36-year-old Wynantskill man was killed Sunday night when his motorcycle went off a town road, struck a ditch and threw the man into the woods, State Police said.
The accident occurred at 11:14 p.m. on Route 66, near the road’s intersection with Mill Hill Road. Todd Denue lost control of his 2002 Honda motorcycle, Trooper Mark Cepiel said.
Denue hit a mailbox, went into a ditch, was ejected from the motorcycle and struck several trees, the State Police spokesman said.
There is a slight curve in the road where Denue crashed, said Cepiel, who added that a preliminary investigation indicates that Denue was speeding at the time of the crash.
