November might not be too bad for surf there, but not right in front of the hotels because that’s all shore break. The only times I was in Ka’anapali it was really flat but both times were in March. Be careful in Lahaina if you decide to surf in the harbor, lots of reef and urchins.
And make sure you jump at Black Rock. If you’re looking to the water and go right, there’s a little 20 footer or so that a bunch of people will be jumping off of. If you go around that point, there’s a good 45 footer that’s a lot of fun.

what’s the local vibe like in that water at lahaina? If nothings happening near the hotel i’ll plan to venture down there. Will be wearing some vibram’s or something in the water, definitely don’t feel like stepping on an urchin.
I want to drive the piss out of any and all circle track cars dirt or asphalt. Been my dream since i was little cards just havent fallen right yet to allow me to do so.
Lahaina should be fine since it’s mostly tourists on the west side. They fully expect haoles to be out in full force. There’s always the odd chance of coming across a complete asshole local, but just be respectful and you’ll be fine. I’ve had some pretty bad run-ins in the past.
