Adoption Application For Dogs

You should answer every question with a 500+ word meaningless ramble that includes the actual answer somewhere in the text. IE See the first letter of Every sentence.

My German Shorthair Pointer doesn’t do any of this.

or a cat. my rents cat used to do this all the time in his youth.

you don’t trade a dog in just because you didn’t do your research first. Give the dog a bath it is not that big of deal

no, we realize we’re stuck with the little booger now. Just trying to give fair warning to others.

they did the same thing to me, and dont tell them u have another dog at home if you do. Kuz they will make you bring it in for a “meet and greet” and if one of them growls even once they are like “nope sorry this wont work” and u cant have the dog. Just bring it home and monitor them together, dogs dont become friends in a split second but the people at the buffalo animal shelter seem to think otherwise.

28 pups will be up for adoption May 1st:

NO HOME VISIT, still a longish application. Apparently a line forms 1/2 hour before the door opens.

Ya, I agree the app process and questions are crazy.
Some of them make sense, like, do you have kids or kids that visit. They will warn you if you picked a dog that doesn’t get along with kids. Or give a possessive dog if you are going to let him on the couch.

I really want to fill out an app with all kinds of appalling answers and see what they have to say. (How would you discipline the dog? Punch him in the FACE)

i think it’s great. They should make the form longer. I’m sick of hearing about people who bring dogs to the spca because they realize that a dog needs exercise, and that they can’t lock it in a 12x12 room for 16 hours a day, then expect it not to chew and pee on things.

Yeah, they should make the form longer, so that when they do bring them to the SPCA, they never leave. :bloated:

Yeah well unfortunately, this long form is the only way to possibly attempt to protect animals from idiot owners. Of course filling out these forms would probably only prevent some scumbag from adopting who already went through this process more than once. lol Definitely less than optimal.

yeah the people that take the effort to adopt probably aren’t the ones abandoning them anyway. It’s the ones who buy them for their kid for their birthday, or go pick out the one they want from a pet store and impulse buy, or more along those lines. But i thought it was sad that in this case, the red tape directly denied this pup the opportunity to get into a good home.

If filling out that form is that much work to you I guess it worked; because you definitely shouldn’t get a dog.

Filling out that form made me eliminate this one from consideration when there are other options without all the BS.

just fill it out with nyspeed smileys

HAHAHAHA not a bad idea

not true at all

Buying a dog from a breeder or a pet store is expensive. I don’t want to sound racist or ignorant or anything, but there are a lot of ghetto people who buy the “cheap” dogs at the pound because they think it will be cool. Then they chain them up in their yards for days on end. They don’t get fed properly or get proper vet visits because they can’t afford it. They hit the dogs when they are bad. I could go on and on. The fact is, they get a cheap dog, and abuse them. Plenty of people adopt dogs because they are cheap and are already spayed/neutered, not because they care to do the right thing. That is why they check your homes and references.

soooo true, but that being said, I <3 my beagle, diesel.
