Why?
lots of room to work on it, and better gas mileage than the 8?
I6 is a classic engine, for good reason. It’s kind of a German high-end small block Chevy! Relative to the V-8 there’s a lot more go fast stuff out there. Easier to get parts at reasonable prices, if it comes to that. Lot’s of people know how to work on them. Good performance, efficient, sounds nice. The 7 series is just to complicated for me to consider as a used car with no warranty. To much to go wrong that would be VERY expensive to fix and that would probably leave you at the mercy of a dealer (shudder).
