AEM wideband issue, what am I doing wrong?

Installed a new AEM wideband and sensor on the weekend. The issue is after letting go of the gas say on the hihgway or slower roads the gauge gets the horizontal line reading (no input?) until I hit the accelerator again
It’s as if it hits maximum lean or no gases to measure, but that’s not possible because the car is running and idle is fine as well as neutral decelartion.
It starts up fine and settles down on idle and all through boost holds it value but +/-.2 v.

Sensor was installed on the downpipe at more than the minimum 10Deg angle. I thought I was getting a sketch input voltage from the switched source but getting a better source didn’t help.
Screw on the back of gauge is in the P0 position.

any input and ideas will be welcomed.

Redo your ground.

Those stupid aem’s require a retardedly good ground to work well, when most others a normal one will suffice.

Never had a wideband before? This is normal operation. During closed throttle deceleration, fuel isn’t required, so typically the injectors do not operate, thus giving you a lean (—) reading.

Dylan I’ll reground, thx.

Nope first Wideband but injectors will still pulse as long as the engine rotates, CAS singnals right? But I’ll research some more on what you said because it does lean out hard before going to (—).
thx face.

On my AEM wideband whenever I stop giving it gas it goes (—) for a few seconds, then back to my proper idle. I thought that was the usual also

mine dose same thing, brand new and just installed by a pro, my buddies dose the same as well.

No your injectors turn off when you have your foot off the pedal or are decelerating, its supposed to do that

Got ya. Ok thanks for all the input. You guys are right and that is normal operation. The LC1 just shows 21 instead of —

Mine does the same thing zac. Installed by Riyad too.

Thanks Phil. Oh well, just a minor inconvenience I guess.
