As usual I’ll be attending. I cannot stress enough what an amazing event this is, by far the highlight of my summer every year. It’s a week of hanging out with like minded car people driving cross country, doing incredible once in a lifetime events and seeing parts of the country you might not otherwise see. Last year on the way out we discovered a series of roads in the Rockies which were simply breathtaking and about the best driving roads I’ve been on. I think we saw 2 other cars in 3+ hours of driving amazing twisties and sweepers.
I highly encourage you to sign up and join this year’s event. I’ve definitely made lifelong friends and had some crazy experiences doing AKA the past few years.
It’s actually the first Z3 Coupe that was imported into the USA by BMW, and it also has a super rare Modena/Black interior (one of 5 IIRC with that in a Z3/M Coupe).
$3250 per car includes, hotels, certain meals, parties, prizes, events, salt flats, etc.
2005 - Trouble Free (other than bailing dmoffitt out of jail :lol:)
2006 blew headgasket on 951, left car in Indiana. Continued on in an M3.
2006.5 - Electrical failure on 350z Twin Turbo in parking garage at final hotel, tow truck picks it up, hydraulics fail on tow truck, car stranded on truck, finally fixed and on my way 14 hours later.
2007 - Made it the entire way without any real issues, but I did crack a wheel that I had to swap mid way
2008… we’ll see
if chris has sorta-kinda forgiven me I’m down for going (heh, also if I have some free cash by then, this remodeling thing’s been a mess there). AKA was incredible fun!!

WOW i want to do this so bad…how much do the cars get beat on…for example would it be worth while trying to take a higher end car if i can get my hands on one…or take something fun to beat on?? any opinions…
The only thing you will 100% have to replace is your windshield if you do any high speed runs. Clear bra and washing your car will take care of the rest.
Man this is some fucking BS. I wanted to do it this year for sure but i am in a wedding July 19th. Just a question for years to come. The $3250 per car does that only include one person then an additional fee for more people?
1 car or two people, you can do it on a pair of bikes if you’re effing crazy (see the photo of our buddy Jay above). Additional passangers (3 or more) are $900 each I think?
