Rick and I were talking about this the other night, so I figured I might as well post it up here for any interested locals. This year’s AKA Summer Rally (AKA Rally '07) is coming up. It takes place from July 16th to July 22nd and goes from Salt Lake City to Atlantic City this year. The cost is $3250 per car (2 people, each additional person is extra) this year ($250 increase) which covers entry fee, hotels, events, breakfast and dinner, entry to the parties, etc. There will also be VIP entry to a major race event this year, last year was the Formula One USGP @ Indy, and a visit to the Salt Flats for some High Speed fun ;). I’ll be going in my 5 series most likely with my codriver and fellow BlownEuroz member PT (turbojettaMK4 on here), I know for a fact there are a few 911’s (GT3 and RUF Turbo’s), a ton of STI’s, M3’s, Vette’s, 350z’s, Skyline’s, so on and so forth signed up. Any way you cut it (amazing cars or not) this is one of the best events I do all year, great people and a great time. I’ve made lifelong friends through AKA and continue to do every AKA event Chris Conner can come up with. I cannot say enough good things about this. I’m an AKA '05, '06 and '06.5 vet.

i would consider it IF it wasnt starting on teh west coast… it would be , i think after driving to the west coast i think i would loose the urge to drive all the way back to atlantic city… and then back to buffalo

holy crap, add gas and this is like a $4-4500 trip. I’m definetly not baller enough for this…
Mike and I went in 05, I can’t begin to say how much of a good time it was. Anyone interested, scrap up the cash and go - you’ll thank yourself for it years down the road!! Chris knows how to put together a GREAT event!
I’m picking up my new rally vehicle Saturday, it will be at the BBQ Sunday (on the trailer). If anyone wants to participate this year or knows someone who wants to, get in touch with me ASAP!
