I would love to make it up there some day to see the Northern Lights
I guess you need to go farther north than Anchorage to do that. My brother has been there for almost 2 years and hasnāt seen them. I had a perfectly clear night with a good aurora forecast and didnāt see them.
Oddly enough Iāve seen the lights from a few hours north of Toronto. Faintly, but they were there.
I think that you need to be in the Arctic Circle to see them where they are green.
This is a good site for forecasting. When I was there Anchorage was mostly in the green, but not the solid center part. Thatās when itās overhead.
I wonder if @AFhockey31 was ever able to see it when he was there?
Just got back from another Alaska trip and another brotherās wedding. Youād think my family grew up there, lol. Iām starting to get some pictures together but seriously you wonāt find more dramatic scenery for wedding photos:
Some of the shots Iāve put on Instagram already:
Last one near Palmer?
Seward actually.
Back from by 3rd Alaska trip. Seriously, if youāre thinking of going DO IT. Iāll have a ton of pics, this is just the first Iāve put on social media:
MOARR!
Grass isnāt green enough for my liking. Hardly seems worth it.
Montana is like that too, except their roads are 75. Which, in my opinion, should be the speed limit (if there even is one).
leave it up to the people how fast they would like to goā¦if you crashā¦well, you shoulda slowed down.
Iāll keep posting as I go through them.
Amazing place to stayā¦
I did a mission trip to the Yukon Territory by way of Alaska an traversed the state by boat, train and small plane. Really amazing place.
Should have brought your Blasterā¦
^^ I wish. But I did actually go jet skiing up there, Iāll post pics soon.
Sweet shots man!
Thanks!
