I fly in at 2pm tomorrow and don’t have to meet with customers until Wednesday, so I’m trying to figure out how to best spend my free time.
It looks like there’s a park on the water nearby the airport so I may be able to find some cool places to snap some pictures, plus that’ll give me something to do while I beat the hell out of the rental. :eekdance: Anybody know anything good to do/see in Anchorage for an afternoon/evening? If all else fails, :beer2: at the hotel bar.
been there once. a few years ago. This time of year you will want to bring your tripod with a long shudder release if you want to take any pics. Not much daylight in january.
its prolly a bit early for the Northern lights. but Alaska > * if you like the outdoors.
& general lawlessness.
If you have a day & a car. i would suggest driving 2 hours north to Denali national park.
Mt. Mckinley blew my mind when i was 60 miles away from it. but it all depends on the weather. need a clear day. alaska is wild. mountains, mountains, mountains (mckinley) GIANT F-in Mountain, & grizly bears.
Is mt McKinley in Denali park? I may consider that, especially since I just found out the customer I’m supposed to meet with on Thursday isn’t calling back so I may have all day free!
