My Adirondack adventures....

As some of you may know, iv traveled up to the adirondacks for the week to some sightseeing and relaxing. here are a few pictures of what iv been up to so far.

the truckstop diner we always go to for breakfast…always find this very funny…

side shot…

this is Pok-O-Moonshine, located just off the 87, not the greatest picture but i was in the car.

We hiked up Hurricane Mtn. today located just outside Elizabethtown where iv been staying. ill update with more pictures tomorrow…

hope to take a vacation there someday looks like an awesome time

yeah the hike was awesome, except for the picture with the dog in it, those stones were our climbing path for the last 45 minutes of the top. you can see all the dead trees, that was right after the tree line.

I will be leaving tomorrow for our house up there. It is on the southern edge of the ADK on white lake. I can’t wait. It has been so long since I got to take a week away from my desk!

looks like a great time.

Nice pictures. ADK’s are a great place to get away for a bit.

I love hiking…nice pics

ill be taking the ferry over to burlington tomorrow to pick up my uncle from the airport.

monday i will be in lake placid. we plan to go shopping through the village, take the chairlift ride up whiteface and check out the ski jumps.

I really enjoy the Adirondacks. My brother used to go to school at Paul Smiths. It gets REALLY cold in the winter though.

a few more pictures…

my brother and i being tough guys…haha

my brother got this shot of me, thought it was pretty cool.

and the best dog i have ever taken on a hike with us…

I grew up with the Adirondacks in my back yard. Been here since 96 and still haven’t gotten used to living in flat WNY.

That’s a good looking Golden. I should post up a bunch of pictures I took when I hiked Killington Peak last summer. The peak was shrouded in clouds, and there was rime ice falling off the trees from overnight. It was early-June.

I also have a killer picture from a view from a wilderness park right by apartment in Rutland. I really should post that up.

The Dacks are awesome. I ferquently visit a nice area about 1.5 hours east of Fort Drum, not quite as mountainous at all, but still pretty cool. We mostly atv, shoot and drink alot up there.

All lies, you just go up to hate on trees, rocks and general fauna. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ugh, awesome. I have to get up to Marcy’s Dam sometime this summer. I have to!

Looks good… and awesome looking golden (mine is laying here next too me poor pouch had a long fun weekend)

thanks, iv got more photos to upload, went to burlington, vt today via ferry across lake champlain and did some shopping on downtown church street.

tomorrow i will be taking the gondola ride up whiteface mtn. and shopping in lake placid followed by dinner in placid too.

Man I miss the Adirondacks. When I was a kid we tent camped for 10-14 days every August at Rollins Pond near Saranac Lake. You can never run out of stuff to do in the summer.

what peaks did you climb so far?

I used to go up there with a bunch of people and just climb mtns the whole time. I would totally be down to go again

and a little advice: stay the f&*! out of the Algonquin trail if you climb that peak. I know its one of the most popular peaks people climb, so if you guys decide to do it, go back down the way you came.

good deal. I just went there about a month ago. My girlfriends parents have a place at the white face lodge so we go 1-2 times a year and get some hiking and R&R in
