Alignment.

My last set of tires had cupped a little bit. (Rippled.) I guess that can be a sign of an alignment problem, although I attributed it to siezed rear brakes, as the wheel that had the worst brake also had the worst cupping.

I had my snows put on a week ago and ever since then the steering wheel is cocked slightly to the left when driving straight. The car doesn’t pull at all, it still drives straight, it’s just that the wheel is maybe 5* to the left when cruising straight.

Any idea what the problem may be before I go get it done? I don’t know much at all about alignment and don’t want to go to a shop clueless.

Any recommendations on where to take the Jetta to get the alignment checked/fixed?

r ur snows the same size? could be the amount of tread my snows do the same thing

Naw, same size. They didn’t do this last year…

Cupping is usually caused by weak/worn shocks, worn wheel bearings, or worn tie rod/ball joints. Unless it’s cupping across the entire surface, that can be caused by alignment (toe).

thats there Alignment Machine

Same alignment rack Northtown Mazda Kia has. It’s the shit. It’s got these electric things that clamp to the wheel and read the degrees back to the shop computer.

like all alignment machines
