We really don’t need more ships. We have a major us base within easy striking distance to any foreign aggressor. By the time the navy flotted there slow ass boats over we would already have boots on ground. Someone will say but cruise missiles. No the us air force has plenty of precision guided weapons with much faster deployment. The only real good the navy can do anymore is inspect ships for illegal cargo. Just cuz some clown says we need these because of the boogie man don’t believe them. The Navy can barely maintain what it has already. I don’t think they need or even want more.

Really not gonna get into the whole my branch is better than your branch bullshit but if you think the navy is not needed you are a fucking retard. One main reason why nuclear countries stay in check is because the NAVY carries the nukes and can be at their “doorstep” pretty quick.
