Allergy crew, step inside...

Pataday & Patanol keeps my eyes from itching. Recomended by an eye Dr. that had pollen allergies like I do. This stuff is magic. Unfortunately RX only.

Bump. Yesterday absolutely destroyed me, not sure why. I have been doing shots 2 times per week for 2 months now, and usually it doesn’t kick in until late April/early May. My body seems to react earlier and more severe every year. Prescription Zyrtec doesn’t help either… Who else is suffering?

Get a neti pot and use it every day. I promise it will help at least a little.

I’ve been taking Alavert for the past 4 years and it works great. Surprisingly I’m pretty sure I’m allergic to Claritin, I took it and had to go to the hospital cause it fucked me up good.
But this past summer I had to take allergy meds once; so I’m thinking that maybe I outgrew them

lol got beat to it -.-

Tree Pollen is crazy bad right now.

I have heard good and bad things… I may not have a choice since medicines dont have an effect until late June

Exact opposite for me, I always have had allergies, but the past 3 years they have been getting progressively worse… I take Zyrtec (via Prescription), I will check out Alavert and see if it makes a difference. Claritin blows ass…

That explains it, I am allergic to trees and everything they have to offer (including tree nuts). I guess the nice weather coming early is a double-edged sword

winter is coming, so that means closed windows and lots of dust/dander/etc time. I think fall/winter allergies for me are just as bad (if not worse) than spring and summer.

The neti pot helped immensely this past year, i can not say enough good things about it.

I just invested in a home air purifier. It has all the bells and whistles (hepa, charcoal, UV, etc). It’s not for whole house, but is more than ample for a large room. I’m going to put it in my bedroom to hopefully have better sleep and wake up being able to breathe. I’ve never used one before and after all the reviews i’ve been reading and research i’ve been doing, this looks like it was a really good choice. Maybe breathing for the next 6-7 months won’t be so bad

im on prescription fexofenadine 180mg
i should probably one of these days find out what im actually allergic to

Three thumbs up to Allergy Shots, if your case is severe. It is a long term program, and I am receiving my monthly shots over here.

i had them when i was younger, but i got older and lost insurance for awhile. Now i just have to get retested. I just had too much of doctors for a couple months and needed a break haha.

I hear you, well worth it. I gave in after spending a couple nights awake and sneezing non-stop. Buffalo/Amherst Allergy is super flexible, and very good! I’d recommend them anyday.

Well it’s a new year and a fresh start… I’m getting allergy shots now every week (2 in one arm, 1 in the other). The testing wasn’t nearly as bad as it was when i was a kid, not even close. As expected I am severely allergic to everything. On their 0-4 scale, it was about 60% at 4 and 40% at 3. Except for dogs…no reaction to dogs whatsoever.
This time around they are doing absolute wonders for me and I’m only 5-6 weeks in, I’m actually looking forward to spring now. This could be an amazing year, i can’t begin to imagine what it’d be like to be able to breathe the whole time.

I have nothing but good things to say about my air purifier as well. That thing catches so much dust out of the air it’s ridiculous. I have baseboard heating, i can’t imagine what forced air throws around.

Zyrtec is still my pill of choice.

Neti is only once or twice a week now, at the most.

Since I’ve had my sinus surgery, I’ve probably only sneezed about 10 times since August, and the headaches and itchy eyes are gone.
