Ok, so I was talking to my grandfather in florida and I guess he ate some alligator tail, he said it wasnt half bad and kinda tasted like chicken. Anyways we couldnt really figure out what type of meat it would be considered (ie. poultry, red, seafood, etc.)
Anybody have any ideas? I believe they are cold blooded so wouldnt that make them some sort of seafood?
it really does taste like fishy chicken. not too bad. hot sauce or cocktail sauce is good on it.
It definitely does taste like chicken. It’s not considered seafood, but I’m not sure what you’d call it
it is just meat… def. not seafood… i love it. i had alligator nuggets last time i was in florida. mmmmmmmmmm

Dur, it’s not poultry or seafood. It’s reptile.
And yeah it tastes kind of like fish with the texture of chicken. I had it on a shish-kabob in Africa with ostrich, kudu, and chicken.
its good, had some in florida many years ago.
