Anyone know of any shops in the area that repair alloy rims? From what I’ve researched and talked to people, seems you need a sort of specialty shop. Its not huge damage, the wheel is bent out on the inside of it, not a lot, but enough to cause a small gap and hold absolutely no air.

they did as of 10 years ago… they actually send it out to get done… and i had the same exact problem you are having but mine still held air. they send it out and have it machined pressed back into place… i think it was like 40 bucs or something well worth it.
naylor does wheel repair in house as of this time last year, they do a good job also not sure what they charged me but it wasnt to bad
Not to jump ship, but do they refinish wheels? Say a pitted polished lip?
Hmm, I’ll look them up and try giving them a call.
Oh, and I tried searching already, and you don’t get shit that helps me. Maybe if I spent half an hour looking through shit using a fuckin thesaurus I might find something. Thanks for the help.

Neither of the first two state if its alloy or steel rims, because any shop with vice grips and a hammer can fix a steel rim.
And the last post was just refinishing an alloy rim, and looks like he never got an answer on getting the actual rim straightened or anything like that. I’m not fixing curb rash here.
I hate to be a dick to admin staff but its not like this was some obvious sticked topic or something. There was 3 topics, one of them 4 years old, another 3, and another one that doesn’t help. Even if there was an answer in the first two, good chance that shop isn’t around. Just looking for an answer and the best answer I get off the most senior guys is cute little sarcastic graphics.
Oh and just incase anyone ever has to SEARCH ALLOY RIM REPAIR or FIX … Naylor’s does fix them. Starts at $35, goes up from there. Around $85 if it needs welded. They said they can fix about 95% of what they see, and usually its a $35 fix.
Why should it be a sticky?
The shop does not advertise on here.
they would not polish my wheel after repair i did and it didnt take much to get out the small blemish from the repair.
I’m not saying it should be a sticky, I understand that, its not even important enough to be. But the way you put out that search bs you made it seem like it was some obvious answer that was asked a million times or was already sticked. I did search, and didn’t find an answer, so I asked a question. And you come off with that, I don’t understand why you couldn’t just answer it. Maybe if I was asking some retarded question with a million topics on it’d be different but, whatever. Its here, its answered, if you type in alloy rim repair or fix, you’ll find this topic and you’ll find an answer.
the combination of being old/grumpy and decades of pent up homosexual energy makes some of the fellas on here awfully dickish. Sorry you had to experience that. We appreciate your contribution and I hope that you’ll continue to engage in our wonderful online community.
Sincerely,
