Yeah, blow mold the MIA covers. Soon as i’m done with these widebody cars get me a lense and I’ll cnc some plugs for vacuum forming.
Thanks man! I’m still collecting parts but I’ll be sure to let you know. This will be my first attempt at swapping a trans in an Audi while leaving the engine in the car so I may need a few hands, lol.
Clutch is in the mail. Have leads on a flywheel and waiting on custom transmission mounts. Soon hopefully.

Pulled apart one of the 01E’s (for parts) and will pull apart the box to be rebuilt today. The rebuild kit will arrive today as well. Just some pics for fun:

Flywheel is back from the machine shop and new pilot bearing has been installed:
New clutch:
Connector housing, boot and repair wire to hook up the reverse switch:
Transmission rebuilt, assembled and filled with G005000 (016 fluid, hopefully works well):
Random new OEM hardware (flywheel bolts, PP bolts, tranny mount bolts, axle shield bolts and driveshaft shield bolts…some not pictured):
