incorrect… sort of. It’s by far the best collections place to work for in terms of good pay, great bonus structure, AMAZING incentives, and a casual workplace ( you can wear jeans and sneakers every day )
at the same time, the above mentioned attracts people from all walks of life. There are very few… “normal” people there I guess you can say. Most are scumbags and/or drug addicts, or just don’t give a fuck and are there for the hourly paycheck.
I made more money at NAFS than any on the books job i’ve ever had though.
your kidding about great pay and shit like that right. they work accounts that have been worked by everyone else already. they are like the 6th year of being worked by the time they get there. my gf worked there and hated it due to how scummy the place was and just everything that went on. shes working at another place now(dont know the name) shes about to be making $12 an hour and everything is brand new never been worked before with a goal of $4k and everything you collect goes toward your goal. its her first month and shes already at goal.
edit: my gfs place has a 42" lcd tv hanging on the wall with movies playing all day long, the managers walk around and shoot people with nerf guns and they can wear what they pretty much want as well
your right with the low goal and people that dont want to work … one that knows what they are doing can go in there and slam dumb paychecks and big bonus… tell her to hit 15k 4 months in a row and ask for 20 hour and 10k goal and watch her get it…and they collect old paper b/c people dont know anybetter that they dont have to pay … they can pay more b/c the buy it for $.03 to $100… if you can collect there paper (witch anyone can) you should make good bank
i have had my hand in a lot of shitty collection places around the area …or i have a family member as a high up in the shitty places
right. dont get me worng, ive never worked at a collections place, just going with all the people i talk to that have worked there before that are at different places now.
anyways, they hazmat team is still there. lol sucks for anyone that works there if they didnt bring a lunch and they dont let anyone leave! lol
so I left to go on my 15 minute break at 10:30am today when i saw the first cop standing out side of nafs, a collections agency. i turned onto youngs when the second cop was turning onto the road heading that way. its now going on 12:30 and their is now a hasmat team outside the building with a lot of cops and a fire chief.
wondering if anyone has any idea what this is about? some person send in a check to pay off their debt and put some sort of chemical in the envelope. lol
anthrax scare I guess… someone sent in an envelope with white powder in it with a note saying it was anthrax and they won’t know until tomorrow whether or not it really was… friend of mine that still works there, her mom works in the front office where the letter came… they made all the ladies strip down and put on these paper clothes and get checked out and all this shit and apparently the news crews were trying to get pictures of them and everyone was freaking out… etc…
I doubt it’s actually anthrax but who knows these days.
so I right to go on my 30 minute break at 12:15am tomorrow when i saw the second cop standing out side of nafs, a hasmat agency. i turned onto the road when the first cop was turning onto youngs heading that way. its now going on 10:30 and their is now a collections team outside the building with a lot of firemen and a police chief.

NAFS is one of the worst collection agencies to work at. Lawsuits left and right. I used to work there. The in house attorny is and idiot. A couple of my friends still work there and its only because one is a manager for chase and the other works in the ppa department. NCO is worse though. Management treats you like shit and pay and bonus sucks.
