:rant:why does everyone hate LT1’s:(
like everyone else has said, theyre harder to work on and have more problems. optispark. shitty aftermarket compared to LS1. optispark. stock for stock make less power. optispark. shitty heads. optispark. less opions for tuning/not as good software from what i hear, but dont know first hand, and did i mention optispark?
I remember my 1st LT1 cam swap… i dont like them
I have an LT1 with a small cam, home ported stock heads, and 7ish pounds of boost.
I have never been beatin by an LS1 that did not also have a power adder. Have beatin LS1’s with many different heads/cam combo’s, as well as a few with nitrous/forced induction.
Chucks LS1 firehawk beat me a couple years ago when he had the D1 blower. But I only have an S-trim.
I’m not trying to say that the LT1 is better by any means. Becuase obviously the LS1 is better with all else equal.
BUT…-LT1’s can be made to go fast with the right parts combinations, and are relatively cheap to build. I personally think it is cool/different to do something else than what everyone else is doing.

It just so happened that i found a killer deal on an LS1 so i jumped on it. to be honest I probably would of went LT1 just because of money issues but i couldnt pass this one up

yeah i picked up the ls1 lacking intake, crank, and oil pan for 350. i might stroke it but it depends on compatibility and money. i am going carb and i am looking at a demon blow through carb which is easily(or easier i should say) turbo’d so as soon as me and my buddy start this project we will have a right up and and some pics
