emission and fuel efficiency
there is a mod that most of the solstice/sky owners are doing in which they shorten the waste gate actuator. Makes for quicker spool and a little more boost from what i have read. you should probably venture over to those forums. the direct injection is definitely what that loud ticking is. gm installed noise deadening material on/around the injectors on the cobalt but it didn’t do much.
