Been on honda-tech for a few years. A buddy of mine suggested i join here. So, here i am.
um, I really don’t know what to put in this whole introduction thing…
i drive a 95 accord ex as a daily. she’s not very fast, but she’s dependable… and my first manual transmission vehicle, so i’m attached to her understeering, low compression, wheel-hopping self.
the current project car is a 93 integra RS. eventually would like to get into some road racing / time attack with her. gonna be keeping her non-vtec, naturally aspirated, just bumping up the compression to about 12:1. building her right from the gound up.
i’ll use another of my “newb posts” for pics & a list of mods.
for the accord.
2.5" exhaust,
Megan 4-2-1 header
3" no-name CAI w/ a K&N filter
AEM tru power pulleys
TenzoR front strut bar
i also have fabbed up a set of ITB’s for the accord, but since its my daily, i really have not had the time to install them. hopefully this summer, the teg will be up and running how i want her to be and i’ll have the time to see if the ITB’s work.
the Integra.
currently installed:
AEM 3" intake
2.5" exhaust
Suspension Techniques 3/4" rear sway bar
Megan front and rear sway bars
Skunk2 Coilovers(springs and struts)
hah, custom turned shift knob.
waiting to be installed:
Edelbrock PerformerX intake manifold
Crower 403’s
Crower Dual Valve Springs & Ti retainers
new OEM valve seals & valve locks
OEM JDM p30 pistons
Laskey racing flat faced valves
ACL race main and rod bearings
Phearable chipped ECU, using CROME
thats all so far. not sure on a header choice for the teg yet.
oh yea. pics.
the accord.
accord engine bay in its prime.(valve cover now white w/ the lettering sanded alum.)
it’s a set of throttles off of a honda CBR 600i. i took a stock f22 intake manifold and i milled it to the point that i wanted / where it would mate as well as possible with the CBR throttles then i linked them together. had to do some additional machine work to get the TPS sensor to work properly and i had to fab up a vaccum collector as well. really just want to see if it will work.
the teg’s gonna actually have crome on it so i can tune the damn thing. if i decide to go the ITB route with her, she’s gonna have a nice machined set; completely original. on the other hand, i refuse to touch the accord’s computer. when i eventually(God willing) get these things on, i’ll play with the idle adjust and maybe play with the cam timing a little bit, but thats it. not hoping for miracles.
