He recently went 8.9 @ 179.7

what happened to that DSM? was moving out then died

It didn’t die, that civic was so much faster it made it look like it died.

4sp tranny in the civic?

Yeh when you do a gear set in a Honda tranny the 5th gear is replaced by a main shaft, counter shaft cuff

that dsm just went 8.67@167

still no 173mph tho

still makes no sense is that DSM makes it down the track quicker but isnt as fast. it should have beat that civic.

I might sound crazy but did anyone think maybe something coulda went wrong with the dsm that run?

the video was posted in january, im sure the dsm was slower at that time, or like chris said it broke haha

well i beleive at the time the dsm was a 150mph car. and remember first two gears of this civic are a lower boost setting…im sure 3rd gear is the 30psi+ gear along with 4th…he’s prolly adding an instant 100whp or more and better traction at higher speeds. Back half of the track is where its at with these huge turbo honda setups running a gear based boost… and Nice find, chris. things runs.
