no issues with you til u start running your mouth. that is all. i think rx-8’s handle nice but they are BALLS slow. there is a reson mazda was forced to reevaluate the power output of them when they first came out… 241hp my ass… they get rerated at 227hp or so and still put down 160-165hp @ the wheels… thats weaker than a 4 cylinder tiburon (not really just making an emphasis) props for doing something with it but dont make outlandish claims that it will beat my car or ANY sti. the rx-8 is a mid 14 second car trapping 92-94mph… the sti is a 13.0 car trapping 100-105mph… it just AINT happening.

Yeah, the power thing was complete and utter bullshit. Mazda also did the same thing with a Miata before as well. To be honest, I never respected the car much until I drove it hard. It’s hard to explain it really.

Typical dyno on a non 04 rx8 (pieces of shit) are from 185-190whp which would still put it at around 215-220 crank hp or so. They still overrate it to this day. Man, where did I say it would beat it? If the driver is any good the rx8 will trap between 96-97 mph stock ( if it is NOT the GT ), still not blazing fast but not the horribly slow car you make it out to be.

There are no s2000 or RX-8s that dominate the 1/4 mile track, so I guess I understand why they are slow at everything in your eyes, because from what I’ve read of your perspective straight line racing IS everything.

either way, they are WAY too over priced for what they are…MY quad would smoke it in the 1/4 mile and its only got 50hp :runaway

Are you serious w/ this comparison? The STI is a RALLY BRED STREET CAR! NoteRALLY BRED I bet if you put an RX8 in a WRC race it’d get whooped on too. They have an Evo vs STI shootout every year at Englishtown and Mid-Ohio for a reason. They’re similar cars that match-up well. Your comparison is completely and utterly useless. Think about it man…even though the STI is A-Stock it’s just based on power and driveline. The RX8 SHOULD outperform the STI in an auto-x. If it didn’t there would be a huge problem in my mine. Miata/RX8/S2000’s are all auto-x guru cars.
