So my dad wants to get another car, he wants to get a vert for people who visit who cant drive stick. he has a few guidelines
auto (obv)
convertible
Around $5000
Sporty
4 seater
I was thinking an e36 325/8. He’s thinking about an early 2000’s Saab turbo (ick)
He lives in Jacksonville so there are lots of older clean cars around that price range that we’re probably forgetting about
Suggestions? Thanks!

Not a Saab turbo.
Off the top of my head a 2000-2002 Volvo C70 convertible is pretty reliable and can be easily had for sub $5k. A lot more room for Big Frank too.

How about instead of an early 2000’s Saab Turbo, go with an older generation 900 Turbo with the inline slant 4…well maintanined examples are quite reliable, and the cars are fun to drive…
