Now Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla has ordered an investigation into the Environmental Protection Agency’s alleged suppression of a 98-page report, co-authored by EPA analyst Alan Carlin that questioned the science behind global warming.
The report details how regulating gases like carbon dioxide WILL NOT reduce global warming. Carlin’s report states that the information the EPA is using is out of date, and that even as atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have increased, global temperatures have declined.
Inhofe said “He (Carlin) came out with the truth. They don’t want the truth at the EPA,” he’s ordered an investigation. “We’re going to expose it.”

My beef is why you and your brethren think an $800 figure, based in fact, isn’t enough to prove your point, so they lie and make it $3100 instead, and you spread the lies. Not only that, but that is an average over 30 years. The EPA says $100 a year. The Heritage Foundation says $1600. The nonpartisan MIT study says $800, so we’ll use that one. For the first few years it is significantly less, more like $100 per year. If you lay off people over this bill at any point in the next 5 years you are using it as an excuse to justify you being a greedy fuck. That’s fine, your choice in capitalism, but call a spade a spade. Not to mention, you didn’t mention what the government is doing with the money they are “stealing.” According to an outline of the proposed allowance allocation, “15% of allowances will be auctioned each year and the proceeds of these allowances will be distributed to low- and moderate-income families to protect them from other energy cost increases. The remaining 85% will be given away for free.”
I don’t think my salary is enough to get the mortgage I want. I’m just going to lie and say I make $300k a year. I’ll hire a study and tell them to come to that conclusion. If I get proved wrong, I’ll just tell the banker, “you are out of touch if you think $80k isn’t a good salary.”
