When the next mass extinction is nearly missed because the earth is 3 degrees too warm for another ice age all the hippies are going to look stupid.
If you really want to “stop man made global warming” then just outlaw the use of any and all energy. Don’t worry about the consequences, since it is the survival of the human race we are talking about here right? Everyone wants the best of both worlds but no one is ever going to get it. Your not going to get your yearly newest edition ipod and reduce total global carbon emissions as the same time.
How can anyone calculate the additional cost of everything that needs energy to be produced? I think it is safe to say that 99.999999% of anything you buy requires energy to be produced. Also factor in all of the lost jobs, etc. I doubt anyone could get a perfect estimate. One thing I do know is every(almost) govt cost estimate is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too low.
So I guess you could say after getting kicked in the balls my whole life, I have learned to get ready for what is coming.

Are you seriously going to tell me that we are causing global warming because of polution from mankind when a valcano erupted in russia recently and it is causing a cooling effect all over the globe?
I agree with his view of Africa not much on anything else.
I remember being confronted a few years ago by a parent who was upset that the Africa unit in 9th grade global history was so small. I tried to tell her there wasn’t much to talk about. In the end though I just said that the Regents Exam doesn’t have much on Africa and I had to prioritize.
That was the Earth talking back. I think it’s mad. We should probably sacrifice a virgin to it… that should fix the global warming problem too.

You global warming hippies realize that there were periods of time when the Earth was much warmer, and there was more Oxygen in air too. If I’m not mistaken, it was when life flourished on the planet. I say let it warm up a bit, this has been a rotten (cold) summer.
This is old news, you knew he was going to close the Bush tax cuts and loopholes and tax the rich more from the campaign.
Now we know where he’s going start putting the money.
Since the Republicans don’t see having 50,000,000 people uninsured and 20,000,000 underinsured as a problem they are just leaving it to the Democrats to come up with a solution.
But yeah, I like the cooler weather.
