Any BMW junkies out there? Paint code question

It’s a huge issue.

Go to bimmerforums Forced Induction, search.

Not only is Dinan’s software locked/encrypted, but it’s not user-programmable by any means, you need EMS or several thousand dollars to convince someone to crack your dme and tune it for you.

BMWs do not have the same aftermarket following as Honda/Mitsu/Chevy, etc. The people that “know” don’t share info, to protect the small market that they do have. which is primarily in pre-packaged, pre-tuned kits.

You WILL NOT get a custom turbo kit running reliably in that car, even if you DO have the money. Period.

Don’t M5s have the same lug pattern and available offsets of all RWD E39s?

Yes, but I sold the other m5 rims I had on the car and wouldnt want to go through the hassle of finding another set of rims for the 540 so I can put the chrome rims on the m5.

Well I guess I aint turboin it then! lol.

Dumpy beemers :lol

paint done. Dont like this angle of the car, but w/e

Sick.

LSB E39 confuses my penis

Sweet, I guess it’s a good thing that it isn’t LSB.

Well it’s supposed to be, no?

It’s FGB! Ford Grabber Blue.

It is not.

Seriously?

yeah it is…

Yea it looks a bit different then LSB. It may look normal with a normal picture in the sun light

:frowning:

He wanted LSB, but the color that came up with the LSB code looked like piss wrapped in shit.

yeah, looking at it now LSB looks way ‘greener’

no rikey

Doesn’t exist, it wasn’t a production color, it was only used for advertising. Same concept as chrome silver, a ~10k hand-sprayed 4+ layer paint that all of the new BMWs featured at national auto shows usually carry. It was the initial introduction color - which means that ALL of the initial M3s that were on dealer lots were LSB. The first couple of thousands of “launch cars” were LSB. After the batch of 01s not many people ordered LSB. (Your 04 LSB is rarer than a 01). LSB, is a true French blue that was used in the ford Capri in the 70’s and was called Mexico blue with Porsche as well. Anyways look below for some info that might help you out.

Here is the exact paint code for the LSB color you are looking for that can be attained: 448 Laguna Seca Laguna Seca Blue Standard Blue 51 91 0 026 069

Here’s a color chart also straight from BMW showing the production years for each color and each available color with exact paint codes. The one you are looking for is in highlight.

You can still order cars in LSB through the Individual program. LSB E92 is a weird car.

Are you sure there were several THOUSAND original LSB cars in 01? I searched for an LSB car for a year before I found my 03 and never saw that there were more 01s than any other year. Just curious.
