I am looking to maybe get a part-time job, and I want to see what people think are really fun ones to have. The first things that pop into my head are things that can possibly help me out, such as a Best buy to get discounts, a movie theater or bowling alley to get free games/movies, or something along those lines.
My past jobs include stocking shelves at Tops, running a Sunday morning Buffet at the Raddison Hotel, and then just misc. side jobs. I don’t know what I want to do, but I want to see if anyone out there has any really fun ideas.
I don’t really care about the wage they pay, but that brings up an area I didn’t think of yet. It would be really fun to work in an arcade, or a put put golf joint. I would absolutely love to have a student job at RIT, in the gameroom, but I am not eligible
Arcade work is both fun and frustrating depending on what you are doing. Did a short stint at D&B part-time. Most of the time spent will probably be cleaning, downtime is quite fun though.
I was at Locust Hill 2 weeks ago for the day, its really nice there. May be a little bit stuck up for a relaxed side job, but possibly not. I will see if I can find anyone that currently works there, and see what they think. A few of the kitchen staff looked like they were having a good time as they were bringing the food out, so maybe its not too stale there.
A few people I knew worked there, I thing a friend of mine is still the head chief, Everyone that worked there liked it, the pay is DECENT for a PT job, and even though the clientele is a bit stuck up, they tip well and the people you work with are cool and down to earth
EDIT: you can talk to people in the hotel/food department, a lot of the students from there work there
I tried it in college for fun. Pay was decent because you get your 8.XX per hour plus the share of the gratuity for each party that is in there for the hours you work. Typically, if they don’t need people for the fun stuff like actual games or go karts, you get stuck at the snack bar which is hell.
a kid at another pizza place in hamburg delivers in an sti, it can’t be his only job tho… unless he still lives with his rents and has no other bills.he prob deals drugs
Best part time job I ever had. Snowboard instructor.
All I did was get paid to snowboard, hang out, hit on chicks/get hit on by teenage jail bait.
Lots of fun, and if there was a mountain in VA or snow for that matter I’d totally do it again.
Im a PT valet, it can be pretty cool, lots of different cars and whatnot, I do however find it difficult to hold back my opinions when people ask me how siqqq I think their failblazer SS or some other form of worthless POS is LOL other than that it pretty cool.
working for west herr was fun, got to drive around in new cars all day, free lunch, there were huge parties at the end of each month, they gave out rediculous holiday bonuses. u can pretend u smoke and get like a ten minute smoke break every 20minutes lol.
but it was mostly old people, besides like the hotttt “greeters” at the front desk.
it just sucks in winter time because your always outside, but it was a great time during summer/spring
i was a “lot attendent”, but i basically did everything besides sell cars and fix them
