Any Good Local 4L60E Rebuilders?

As the title implies, am searching for a good local shop (willing to drive a couple of hours) to rebuild the 4L60E in my 1994 Trans Am. Currently, it has no forward gears, but reverse works fine.

It let go without any warning. Just driving along, and BANG!, no more forward gears. I could feel something dragging inside the tranny while the car was still in gear and I was drifting forward.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Oh, yea, I did use the search function before making this post.

Hodge Trassmission 724-626-1978 tell him you want it like he does for Brian at JJ’s!

I don’t think he wants the :bj: and :idb:

WOuld it be cheaper/more reliable to just get a new one? I know it was cheaper to get a new tranny for my sho than to try and fix it.

no

I know a good place in Bethel park. PM me for details

been in cars with Hodge’s work firsthand
seem excellent and good turnaround time too

i got my 700r4 done at World Class. built for 450hp/tq and its lasted for 2 years so far and probly 10K miles on it already if not less. and those are pretty hard miles. fair price too

hodge built mine, has held up to hard launches and etc so far. have him do a JJs rebuild style

Pewter, Quik:
It seems like Hodge’s work can stand up to some abuse. I will call and name drop! Also, not far from Irwin=good.

Orr:
Any more information on World Class? (location, phone #)

Domination, I will send PM.

77: I am told the factory 4l60e’s have a lot of weak points, and I believe it. My car only has 57k miles on it, and a majority of the first 50k were highway miles.

Thanks to all for the fast replies!

thats a hodge trans with a 3800 stall which was stalling to about 4400 on juice. and thats no stock truck
