We’re moving to a new place…
I’m poking around at the internet offerings of the new places address.
I’m looking at verizon dry loop dsl, since we don’t use a regular phone line for anything.
It seems that they limit you to the 768k service without a regular phone line.
Any truth?
Price is 24.99 per month. Cheaper than roadrunner, but way less speed.
Does verizon allow you to buy your own dsl modem with the cheap dry loop package, or do they make you lease?

FYI road runner lite is 768k for 19.99/mo
I have dry loop. I am paying $17.99/mo for it. I had adelphia before, and I LOVE dsl so much more. It never goes down. Never had a problem with it.

I have dry loop at home. I get 3m down. They tried telling me that they couldn’t go above 768 w/ a dry loop so I told them I’m going with Time Warner. They put me on hold, came back, and magically offered me 3m speeds with the dry loop. lol.
Now I’m waiting for the damn FIOS to get deployed in my neighborhood…

iirc it’s $34.99/mo and that’s after taxes and whatnot. I think it’s $29.99 before taxes/fees.
