My car of choice for something along those lines would be a 280z datsun. Cheaper then a Miata, and a hell of alot better looking
true, im thinking about picking up a 240/260/280Z, i dunno, some dude wants to trade me one for the eeeemr2. if i did get it id love to lsx or rb25 or rb26 swap it at some point. a guy on hybrid z ran just a little slower than the miata times with a stock LS1, mid 11’s at mid-high teens, i believe

i guess it depends on the condition of the Z (if i get one). if its kinda shitty i might do a budget L28ET or just an L26 with a big cam, but if the cars nice i think doing a “higher end” swap would be more suitable for it. i still have to dump the MR2 before any of this happens so who knows :lol
