Wheel spacers are for people whos rims hit the spring perch. None of you need wheel spacers…try buying rims that are fitted to your cars for christ sake. I run barely 10mm on the race car and it’s strictly for clearance issues. Not looks.

SRSLY you all need to remove the head from the ass and learn about physics, metallurgy, suspension design for your car and why the factory had to do it that way, then and only then start modifying your cars. So many horror stories…granted i love reading them and laughing though. :lol
this is why my car ISNT on spacers. im asking about them. im asking about it because, ive heard that people have problems because they got spacers. i am once again hoping somebody will actually post information about the topic instead of calling people names and saying “you dont know shit”
I was looking like getting the wheels out from under my fenders a lil and get away from the flush look. Just my taste i guess. Saw a couple dubs with the front bowed out more and i thought it looked good.It wont happen anytime soon so it’s just an idea .I have other plans in the spring :nod

This is just my thought, it’s probably wrong: wouldn’t wheel spacers to move your wheels farther out that much be a bad idea? I feel like it would make the car handle like ass and like screw up the center of gravity or something?
yes! pushing wheels out puts more pressure on suspension and def makes it handle like dick. (unless you upgraded suspension to handle the width)
I have 3mm spacers up front for caliper clearance. Hopefully I have proper fitting wheels in the spring :cool

so, 20mm spacers is a bad idea on OEM suspension because of excess stress on it. do you guys know if any oem audi/vw wheels will give me that flush look without spacers?

Explaining simple geometry to you is like something that your 6th or 7th grade teacher should have done. If you move a rotating hub housing 20mm from where the original factory geometry was, what do you think happens to the shear loads on the bearing and hub? Not to mention totally fucking up your scrub radius…thus eating your precious 200 bucks a pop 17’s or 18’s or whatever. Which then spawns the thread…So my tires are cupping anyone got any ideas?

Everyone has there own taste , I disagree .I mean ya that is out too far ,I wanted it out though… This thread was supposed to have pics of peoples cars and what type of spacers to get a feel of the sizes .To be honest, i Could are less what peoples opinions are on the looks of my car and its really not gonna influence me . It’s not there money ,car or time spent working on the car.I use what people have to say and learn about topics of volkswagen or automotive in general.
