Anyone here take the Sheriff's Deputy/C.O

Agility test today at ECC South? If so, what did you think of it? Did you pass or fail?

Friend did today…failed the sit-ups lol

took mine back in June, its easy stuff. Worst part for me was the running only because it was a really shitty day out.

This one was inside. I got a score of 2 in sit ups and 4’s and 5’s in everything else.

My buddy Ziggy took it today… Haven’t heard how he did yet, but from his FB it sounds like he passed it.

How could you fail? It was super easy took it today and passed.

For those who may have failed the situps/pushups, go to onehundredpushups.com its a program you can do at home that will get you where you need to be for the testing and then some. It’s a 6 week program that only takes about 10-15 minutes to do.

I could only do about 25ish pushups before I started. After week 3 I can do 45 perfect form pushups in a minute. This could actually work with anyone who just wants to get stronger but doesnt have time/money for the gym.

Fixed

lol well said.

I never said I failed. Just didn’t do well on the sit-ups. Everything else I was golden

Passed, got a 6 on the hand test(149 on the first try), 5 on situps(34),( I knew I shouldnt have practiced them before I got there) missed it by one, I was doing like 50 in a min. all week up to that point. I got a 4(19.5") on the stretch and they guy said just take a slow jog on the run because I only needed one point to pass. It was only pass/fail by the way.

JDMSIR, what time was your appt.?

11:30 I had a black Nike hoodie and shit brown adidas pants on.

Im surprised they did this in points. When i did the physical for the police officer/sheriff exam they had us do the situps and pushups and told us after we completed the minimum to just stop. Then we went out to the track and did our laps. i ran something slightly over 10min. It was manditory that we were able to do all the tests and pass.

Oh I was there at 9:30am, what is your current rank on the written test? I wonder from 1 through what were told to take the agility test. I am #5.

The test was easy if you are somewhat athletic and took the time to follow the paper they sent you telling you what they expected. I went in there knowing that sit ups were my doom but I actually did better than I thought.

↑ I was #127, they only took 100, 95, 90’s I believe.

JDM- Oh ok, I wonder how many will get hired and how long everything will take. I do know that before being appointed you have to take a psychological test and a lie detector test so I hope you are ready my friend…lol…I am…bring it on

I already did the interview a couple of months ago its was for per diam though, you wont did, my sister and her fiance are both sheriffs and never took it. the interview is cake its 4 questions and its easy as hell. They will come to your house though and make sure you are living a sable life, you will also need to get your credit score ready.

I shouldnt have a problem with any of that stuff. What do you mean “you wont did”? So you basically have a foot in the door huh? That’s good, do what you gotta do it’s a really good job.

Not sure what the hell I was typing, you shouldnt have a problem if you passed your PT and you are #5 on the list. If you have any arrests make sure you disclose everything even if it was sealed. You might want to get any letters of disposition as well if you did, I had to.

Its a pretty easy job from what I am told by my sister, i just want the job for the benefits, cant beat them. If you do get the job you will most likely start off at the 3 to 11 shift and be forced to work overtime. From what I have heard there is a class starting up in January, so be ready.
