anyone into RC drifting?

just a little hobby ive been messing with while i get frustrated in the garage. Keeps me from throwing shit, lol
anyone else have one? heres the best shots i have of mine right now. eventually i’ll have fully working light buckets and some other little additions. I have probably 15 sets of damn rims, but the ones shown have my best drift tires currently.

the wheel gap issues have since been fixed

I put PVC over my TC3 tires a few years back.
It was fun for a few hours.

Then I bought an 1/8th scale nitro buggy

I bought some of those “tires” for my old ass Kyosho GP-10 but I haven’t put them on. Maybe this summer I’ll finally break it out.

its pretty fun for a while. but I couldnt sit all day and mess with it. i’ve been wanting one of my buddies to get one to try some tandum drifting

One of the players is pretty into it. He and few friends run them around the fieldhouse every now and then.

All I’ve done it with is my xmod. Let me pilot one of those cars and I could show you how to tandem lol.

Is it harder to do with a gasser? I don’t have any electrics.

I was doing it with a electric for a while then i sold that and got a gas car. But i blew the clutch and haven’t fixed it. Rubber tires drifting killed the tires im sure if i got some drift tires it would have been fine.

they say its easier to do with electric, but alot of people use gas…especially if you’re used to a gas car, it shouldn’t be an issue.

as for tires, i have a few sets of drift tires, and a few pvc setc. they’re completely different in handling, but both fun
