I need to get a couple honda b series blocks bore/hone and I need it to be done with a torq plate. Does anyone know of a machine shop that has one. Savanis in Mckeesport dont have one nor does Evanuiks. If I cant find one I am going to have to pay to have one made.

quick question, is it better to use a torque plate to bore/hone a block than without a torque plate.
I know A-1 just quoted me 184 to do bore/hone without torqueplate, and 250 with. they said torqueplate was more performance oriented boring/honing. Didnt give me a reason as to why.
The torq plate simulated the heads being on the block. The cylinders stretch with the head on. So when they bore it with the plate its almost exactally what the cylinder will be when its running. It makes the ring seal better.
cool thanks!
