anyone know any good venues for group meetings of around 50 people?

I’m organizing some events in the pittsburgh area and i’m looking to find some new restaurants or other venues to hold meetings/parties for groups ranging from 40 to 60 people… We’ve used places such as golden corral and QS&L before but those are getting old.

Anyone have any good advice to take some large groups to? :burnout:

dave and buster’s down at the waterfront ?

depending on your budget

olive garden has a party room
panera has a meeting room that seats a lot of people
most hotels will cater a small lunch if you book the meeting room

dave and busters is a great idea

It’s going to be no-budget. about 90% of the attendees will be will likely buy food or services at wherever the event happens. A handful of them will bring children.

Try Dakota’s in Monroville … Ask for Kenny and tell him Dug from the pool league sent ya. Good food nice place

Grazie (Formerly the Mark’s North Park Lounge Field Club) in Wexford has a few bigger rooms, will definitely seat 50+. It’s attatched to the Oxford Athletic Club, and the Cabana Bar. Good food at Grazie.

EDIT: easier reference: Pretty much across the street from where the Wexford Starlite Cruise is held.

Jaden’s in Monroeville. They don’t have a restarant anymore & do mostly catering, but they do have a meeting room downstairs and good food. I know my company used to meet there in the past.

awesome, thank you guys. I’m going to check into Dakota’s, Grazie and Jaden’s. we did meet at Chinese super buffet and some other Chinese places before, those places do kick butt… yum.

I do like the wexford area and grazie’s sounds awesome but it might be to classy and pricey for us.

Now that my gears are moving, i’m also thinking north park clubhouse in Robinson… i also know the nearby Don Pablo’s has a nice upstairs that might be cool to use.

Hey fly wheel , let me know how you make out with Dakota’s. Kenny is a friend of mine,Used to be in Millvale but he is just starting up over there. Been there a coulpe times myself, much nicer then he had over in Millvale.

activities wise…

I like this idea.

50 person party bus.

I heard Oakland outside of Phipps is pretty decent.

Yea, but it’s starting to get too cool outside.

I guess it really depends on the type of event.

Ricks sports bar (route 22 near delmont/murrysville)

They have about 100 flat screen TV… small flat screens in EVERY booth, game room, buffet during the week, pool tables, 90+ draft beers and another 75+ bottle beers.

They also have a private area downstairs that holds about 65/70 people with pool table and ping pong table as well as a bar that has its own bartender and its free…
