Anyone know where Jim's steak out Gets the SS sheeting in their kitchens?4X8 sheet

At Jim’s they have this 4X8 ft sheets of SS that go behind the fryers and toasters and such.It is like 2"X2" diamonds that are like embossed in the metal.Looks alot nicer then the typical flat SS sheets.
If anyone has an idea LMK

audios(sp?), or frownsoild, might know.

call and ask??? do it D

call any steel place in town. I know Lancaster Steel has it, be prepared to shell out BIG bucks, we looked at gettin a bunch for our pizzeria the cost is Whoa. If it for just walls get sheets of aluminum and polish it with a DA. that will do the same job, if you want it for countertops yer stuck with SS.

Sounds like stainless steel diamond plate, or deck plate. It availible at most steel distributors

I Heard a 4X8 ft sheet of regular stuff is about $100 a sheet.Could this be that much more?
D

yes sir. do the aluminum! polished aluminum FTW.

how in the world are u opening a pizzeria if u cant find simple shit like this on your own?

:stuck_out_tongue:

ss diamond plate is prolly about 309478928374 bucks depending on thickness aluminum is prolly around 2834723 bucks.

What do most restaurant use behind the fryers? Is it aluminum?I always thought it was SS.OK I want whatever JSO has up in their kitchen.
And Mr. Ex GN:2fingers: Don’t worry NYS will be getting a surprise when I’m open as a few ppl on here already know.
D

yea for walls it simply has to be fire retardant. aluminum will do that. ALso a place to check is your local highway dept. Laugh? no- They make street signs outta the shit, if you know someone with an in, you can get a good deal on some sheets of that ish.

I wasn’t worried too much about the fire proof,I just thought it would look nice and be easily cleanable.

DEPENDING ON THE AMOUNT OF AREA YOU HAVE TO COVER, THIS ENDEAVOR COULD BE EXPENSIVE AS FUCK.

ALSO, AFTER WORKING IN A RESTAURANT FOR 4 YEARS, I THINK DIAMOND PLATE WOULD BE A BITCH TO GET FRYER GREASE OFF OF UNLESS IT WAS CLEANED THOROUGHLY EVERY NIGHT…

BUT ANYWAY, YOU CAN ORDER IT THROUGH RYERSON, I MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET YOU A PRETTY SWEET PRICE ON IT. HOWEVER, I WOULD GO WITH RAISED TREAD ALUMINUM (DIAMOND PLATE PATTERN) THE MINIMUM THICKNESS IS .100 AND THE MINIMUM SHEET SIZE IS 48 X 96, BUT I CAN GET UP TO 60 X 192

A 4X8 SHEET WEIGHS 50.24 LBS

IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO GO WITH STAINLESS DIAMOND PLATE (WHICH I DON’T RECOMMEND) I CAN GET 36 INCH WIDE PLATES, BUT 1/8 THICK…

KEEP IN MIND THAT A ENOUGH TO COVER THE SAME 4X8 AREA AS THE ALUMINUM ABOVE WOULD WEIGH 196.8LBS…

ALUMINUM WILL PROBABLY BE CHEAPER AS WELL.

I CAN PROBABLY BEAT MCMASTER’S PRICES BY 20-30%, BUT FOR EXAMPLE, CHECK OUT PART NUMBER 6245T22 ON WWW.MCMASTER.COM

YEAH, IT’S $487.09 A SHEET. (.125" X 48" X 96")

A .12 X 3 X 8 SHEET OF NON DIAMOND PLATE 304 IS $613.62

OBVIOUSLY MCMASTER STUFF IS OVERPRICED, BUT IT’S A GOOD COMPARISON.

THIS IS ALL ASSUMING THAT DIAMOND PLATE IS THE LOOK YOU’RE GOING FOR.

i think he wants the stamped diamond plate. (not really diamond plate) it

YEAH, I KIND OF FORGOT ABOUT THAT SHIT, I THINK I’VE SEEN IT IN 16GA, BUT I DON’T THINK ANY OF MY RESOURCES HERE WOULD BE OF ANY USE.

i think joe or josh might know

for fucks sake Newman get a new kepyboard!

when i worked at ted’s when i was a kid, they just used aluminum panels around the fryers.
