I have had First Niagara since it was Lockport Savings Bank then it was Niagara Savings Bank or something really close to what it is called now, First Niagara. Got my first auto loan there when I was 18. I was really suprised to find a decent amount of branches in PA when I was at a few different auctions so I could grab $40 without paying $3 for it. They bought out a bank in PA, can’t remember the name of it. Now, with one of their checking accounts, they offer totally free atm withdrawls at any ATM in the country. I have nothing but good things to say about FNFG.
I’m not surprised at all. Say what you want about Buffalo, it’s friggin’ cheap to live here.

First Niagara just sold the branch where I opened my HSBC account, about 10 years ago, so now it look like I may end up getting moved to key bank instead. What a pain in the ass.
I’m planning on switching(schwabb), but I was waiting until my refinance closed(last week). Now I just need to take the time to do it.
