Anyone real programmers on here?

What do you need, I can put you in touch with a .NET guy I work with…

It depends on what you need, I have solid experience with several languages, but the project that i am working on now, i am asking the same question as you, and if you get a good response for a .net programmer (which is a compilation of several languages used interchangably) I would love to talk to them. I need a multi scalable application for a pda, windows, and the web… oh and it has to interface

i am a real programmer…atleast thats what i get paid to do.

I just wanna make a poker bot…but the rules will be pretty complex…and I want to monitor it online…I also want it to draw from published stats on players from another website

lol @ joe

what? I figure a decent bot could bring in 20-30% ROI/day 3 tabling any NL cash game…

So let’s just say you start with $100 and run it for a year only investing $100/day…that’s 10K yr.

not a bad concept… but bots can be very very predictable… and all you need is a seasoned player to strip the money from your account

Likewise the bot could be programmed to know that it’s losing. Leave, and then put that name on a “banlist”. Then pick on some other cheap bastard from florida.

Speaking of which if someone were to make said program, would they get a cut of the winnings. :stuck_out_tongue:

:word:

joe has a hard enough time winning on his own, any bot he programs i’m definately sitting down against

jk =)

umm tight solid poker has proven over the last…oh I don’t know 40 years to be winning poker in cash games. High percentage hands are high percentage for a reason. You can play and make good money playing pure mathmatical poker. It’s just not very fun. 20-30% ROI is math poker. Do you know what 20-30% ROI is? That’s $30 on a $100 table. That’s winning 1 semi-large pot in the first hour. It’s called grinding.

Also you set a loss cap @ 15%, unless you’re in a hand.

The rules of the program are the most important thing, especially those that pertain to pot size to stack to bet ratios. I’ve seen bots, but the rules are clearly not written by poker players, they pretty much just jam the pot with JJ-AA

30% ROI/day is super conservative if you consider a 6 hour daily session. You could shoot for a 10% roi/hr really

Not to mention the bots playing style will vary from player to player as it complies stats

Let me just use a nice example for you for 1 month @ 30% roi/day average starting with $100 and ending at playing 3 $100 tables/day

Day 1 - $100 in $30 out roll: $130
Day 2 - $100 in $30 out roll: $160
Day 3 - $100 in $30 out roll: $190
Day 4 - $100 in $30 out roll: $220
Day 5 - $200 in $60 out roll: $280
Day 6 - $200 in $60 out roll: $340
Day 7 - $300 in $90 out roll: $430
Day 8 - $300 in $90 out roll: $520
Day 9 - $300 in $90 out roll: $610
Days 10-30 - $300 in/d $90 out/d ending roll: $2110

Monthly profit - $2010 x 12 = $24,120 year

And thats maxing at 3 tables. On stars you could max at like 9 tables. You could even shoot lower for 10% roi…

But now, let’s get a little more daring…and take our $2000 and play 3 $400 tables @ 18% roi/day (or an amazing 3% roi/hr of base over 6 hour session)

1 month - $6480 profit x 11 months = $71,280

But here’s the real kicker…this is TAX FREE MONEY…so my first example would be like making about $31-32K/yr @ a normal job…second example…like $110K/yr

Yeah there are going to be days the bot goes bust, there are also going to be days the bot does 200% roi b/c of all in hands…don’t you think there are dozens of non-public bots doing this already on poker sites all over the place? Shit there are colleges that have departments dedicated to building poker bots…

I’ve been playing $100 table for the last 45 minutes, super tight, and have a 7% roi, so that’s like 9ish % /hr…

If you break poker down into small % making money is super easy. It’s that you’re always shooting for 300% everytime you sit down.

I’ll front the poker money, programmer fronts the program, split all profits to 10K…only condition is that the program is never sold

Just for some super shits and giggles here an example using 9 tables on party/stars starting with $100 and ending at 9 tabling $200 tables…we’ll use 20% daily roi and not have a safety net…

lol 9 tables

lol @ single table cash game players

But no, I don’t program bots, I think LAFENGAS does though…
