Anyone using kirkey auluminum racing seats?

You can run 5pts with stock seats but its really not the best and safest idea.

I guess it all depends what you consider “safe” in the end

However those seats ARE safer they’re meant to be used with harnesses and you also get to save some race weight.

Stock seats are designed to work with air bags and factory seat belts

John, A friend of mine is selling one econo Kirkey seat with cover if you are interested. 18" I believe.

Yo LZ, where you getting the pair for that cheap? I only need one, however.

Racecraft.com has them for F-bodys seats are $150 each covers are $90 and brackets are $50

Summit and Jegs have universal brackets and similar prices on the seats.

That was the pro street kirkey

Hey guys, my factory seats are around 63lbs each and carpet is another 30-40 lbs. after i pull that out and add the kirkey it will be a huge weight saving. That and the fact that i have a daughter and a wife so i realy shouldnt be taking chances anymore. My car isnt a 11sec car anymore, i plan on trapping well over 150mph this year and i realy think its time to look into the proper safety equipment or atleast as much of it as possible. Im going to have to add the halo and pillar bars to my cage so “stock” looking bmw isnt going to be so stock looking anymore anyways.

Just don’t ditch the cup holders

Good call.

If you can, do a one piece bar from the hoop to the front floor and then just a cross brace above the windshield. IMO this is a much better and safer way of doing it. You arent relying on a weld to keep the roof from coming in if the car flips (since they seem to land on that spot when they do flip).
