Thought I would share pics of my two-
The big guy here is a Greek, hes about 6" and eating like a horse-
And the little guy here is a Redfoot but he/she is too young to sex
He/she is aprox 2.5" and is aprox 6 months old-
Here is my snapper-
hes about 12" (shell length) and goes about 25#'s
I also have an Eastern box, a yellow mud turtle and a african sideneck
I guess in the immortal words of this little freak-
I like turtles
Anyone else here with turtles and or tortoises?
My roommate had one, the one night we got drunk and watched him eat 9 gold fish in a 30 minute period, it was probably the only cool thing it ever did.
yeah some arent too exciting, the snapper will eat mice though, hes pretty vicious
i was a huge fan of cartoon Turtles there where four of them. does that count?
sure but the comic book versions were much cooler than the cartoon or movie versions

i had a few turtles. 2 red ear sliders and 2 painted turtles. it wasd fun 2 see them eat fish but mad a mess in the tank afterwards lol
i have, well my sister takes care of him a 5 year old sulcata. he will outlive everyone on this message board lol

Mine ive had him about 4 or 5 years and he wasnt tiny when i got him so prob 6-7 years old

And i wanted to get another turtle but appartly mine is a dick and doesnt like other turtles having heads while in his tank lol thought 91crxsi’s turtle wasnt going to make it out alive.
when i bought mine the guy said he was 3 so i figured he wasnt getting much bigger i knew they lived a long time but figured growing was done in first few years. Well after researching i found that the fuckers gonna be over a foot across and need his own room pretty much, but hes cute now and a beast and damn near took the girlfriends finger off once but never has tried to bite me. Tortoises are way more docile then turtles and make awesome pets
I notice that you don’t have any gravel on the bottom of the tank. I have always had gravel in my tank. Is there a reason that it is better not to?
i laugh everytime i hear/see the word snapper lol…is it just me?
bills turtle kept fucking attacking mine like an asshole!. I just got him on Thursday… planing on buying a second red eared slider once my filter comes in ( Tuesday).
