Someone educate JClark on real estate.
:lol
I’ve ate/slept/breathed real estate investing for 4 years, I’m familiar.
Cossey isnt looking for a quick investment flip. It is very difficult to buy a home that needs just a little something and sell in a year for profit. Its easier to buy a shitdump that needs everything, but ask any investor, finding those is the hard part. Plus if he was going to live in it for a year, might as well make it two and avoid capital gains.
None of that Cossey wants to do anyway. He’s trying to figure out what he wants to do. Step one is to live solo for awhile. Renting for a year while you figure it out is a great idea. It also gives you time to find the house you now know you want.
lol how was i supposed to know? osmosis? lol
I guess I’m just biased when it comes to renting.
That was meant towards Shawn’s joke, not you.
Long term, I’m against renting to, but for what he wants to do, it’s not a bad plan.
best bet is to get a house and a roommate. An apartment like you described will be expensive. Good luck!
Crystal and I found a few good deals on condos/coop. I’ll be in touch. Looks like we can get a solid 2 bedroom 1200 sq ft for $450K and then $1K a month for “maintenance”. I need to price out $400-$450K 30 year mortgage.
i found some places for him to look into that meet his needs… the kids 21 he has plenty of time and money to try things out the way he wants to
then in 2 years or so he can buy a house he wants
im in the same boat as cossey im looking for an apartment for like 650-750 a month 1 br for me and the finacee dont need a garage or anything like that i found a nice place in east greenbush im going to take a looking at for 825 a month with utilities included
I’m going to take a look at a few places in the area as soon as power is restored everywhere. JClark knows exactly where I’m coming from. I don’t feel like searching hard for an investment like that, nor am I very handy around the house. I’d have to hire my brothers who aren’t free labor, and all that other shit that goes along with it.
I really just need to live on my own for a while. If anyone wants to be my roommate, inquire through AIM, but note I’m very picky, and don’t take anything personal lol.
I lived in Oxford Heights for a year… that place was pretty nice!
ive been looking into there they seem decent rent is a little steep theres a place i east green bush worth checking out and i includes cable and the interwebzzz
check out exit 11 where greg and drew live
werd they have one bedroom apts up here with your own personal garage and for our 2 bedroom its $705 no utilities included. call/text me if you want more info.
Right off the Northway right? If so, nice choice.I mentioned that.
i may have to look into a few of these places myself.
Philomena apartments on Kings road in Schenectady has a few for rent. Theyre at the very end of Schenectady in the Woodlawn area by Hank’s shop and nowhere near the ghetto. Newer buildings and they look good.
They are nice. I lived at Court Royale years ago.
Theyre right around the corner from me. In nicer weather I ride my bike around there.
Nothing in Sch’dy for me. I’m trying to get out of this neighborhood.
yea…I love it up here…nice neighborhood, good price range and very nice apt…I mean we have our own garage, washer and dryer and dishwasher.
