anyone able to connect to a windows machine from apple remote desktop. help? settings?

I don’t hink that apple remote desktop is designed to connect to windows machines, I think it is for mac to mac connections. Never really tried it though.

lame. how can i do it then?

I think there is a downloadable client for windows remote desktop connections.

here: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.mspx?pid=Mactopia_RDC&fid=6671113A-8601-42B9-BCB5-CEEC68F81090#viewer

It is called Mactopia incase that link is broken

You just need a Mac RDP client?

http://cord.sourceforge.net/

VNC?

He wants to use the official RDP (Microsoft Terminal Server Client) protocol client (port 3389) so VNC will not do what he wants to do.

OMG its getting technical up in here

What the fuck’s the internet?

repost

cord doesnt work. f this im just putting a Fusion on this box

did you try the M$ client?

Did you enable RDP on the other box

enable rdp and make sure that terminal services is started

this is weak… you, master of investigation cannot get an apple computer to RDP to a windows computer?

If this doesn’t work then I would check network settings & settings on the remote machine. I use the app at work a lot and never have a problem.
