i bought it used for 600$, it had maybe 100 rounds through it. if you look around for something used you can catch some really good deals. nyshooters.net has some ar’s for sale from time to time.

Problem with used is I want to buy it with a credit card. (i get 250 cash back with this card)
i love it. it does not like steel jacketed ammo though. the carry handle is removable, i use this firearm for short range target shooting (50-100) yards so i don’t really need any type of optic.
I will probably be looking for the Daniel Defense ddm4v3 (not sure what the differences between the v4, v5, v7 etc…)

Looks good. IMHO I prefer the MAtech MBUIS over the A.R.M.S. 40 MBUIS but that’s all in personal preference. I have wayyy more trigger time behind a MAtech. And it’s the US military standard MBUIS.

Good gun and choice, you will be able to change it down the line with out problem.
Think I’m gonna pull the trigger (no pun intended) on this one tonight. Only difference will be a simpler butt stock. Not to that level yet. Going to go with 6.5 Sporter (6.5 Grendel) caliber for a little more range. Already have the receiver so should be able to put together for just over $700.00 plus the original cost for the receiver. Some assembly required.
Model 1 is hit or miss. I know one guy who has a good upper from m1 I know several others that got a crap gun. They along with Double star, DTI and a few others are all considered bottom tier names. I would avoid all of them.
Also 6.5 Grendel is an expensive round to shoot. You will not be able to use it out to its limit here in NY in most cases anyway.
223/556 are capable of 600-800 yards and that is farther than any range I know of here.
I researched both good and bad reviews on them. As far as the cost, it’s only around $ 14.00-20.00 per box of 20, which I don’t think is too unreasonable. Already have two 223’s and didn’t see a need for a third. Probably won’t get to test it out for a few months but will let all know when I do.

Now, where can I find bulk .223 in stock (brass) for around .30 a round?
And should I care about shooting wolf/tul/or any other bimetal ammo through it?

You are about 4 months late when it comes to $.30 brass ammo. It is LONG gone, if you check SGammo or Aimsurplus you MIGHT get lucky but right now most brass case is around 350-370. IT SUCKS. Thanks you .GOV for buying federals entire 2012 production run.

If you have to run steel case run silver bear, the zinc coating allows it to function a bit better in an AR.
No shit? Im glad I sold my AR then. I was a slave to xm193. I guess those people who were stocking up on ammo werent crazy afterall. Looks like even .308 is a lot more scarce than it used to be.

I goto the Niagara gun range. When I bought ammo in april it was 42.99. In the first week of may it was 62.99. Even 10 round clips went through the roof. Ammoman.com is where I am placing my order today.
I love my Bushmaster it wasnt to expensive, and very accurate. The only issue i ever had was having a chambered round get stuck once but that was probably because it needed a good cleaning after putting about 300 rounds through it about an hour before, since then it never had an issue and has never jammed or misfired once. I think it was in the 1000-1200 range for the a3 from the gun shop on Harlem.
I haven’t looked in a while but www.bulkammo.com has done me well in the past. Congrats on the new toy.
