yes it will be ok once summer hits… or go up there with some heat
When did they finish it? Some of that looks normal (if it’s recent with the cold weather and no sun)
they finished today… i agree some parts look normal while other parts look like total shit and like a 5th grader did it.
call up and ask for dana. tell him you want him to look at the roofing job they did because you feel its not done right
my mom is about to have a heart attack because she is like omg i never seen a roof so shity
jeff is here right now
i did my roof in the spring time when it hit 90 degrees on a saturday. The shingles were melting it was sooo hot. Any way, even with that extreme heat it still took a good few months into summer until they settled down to where i thought they should be. Since it was done being soo cold out it will be a good while before they settle. The sun needs to bake on them for a good long while.
its also b.c they are arc. shingles… you should be OK
i mean they look fine just need to layout in some sun. they have sticky shit on the bottoms, but need x amount of heat to lay down. the only place that shingles are nailed down are at the top of them , thats why you see the bottoms sticking up
ya looks fine it warms up the will settle. there is tar on the back that will seal in warm weather.
the lifted shingles are from there tools (roof Jacks) they lift the shingles to remove there jacks and it makes them to look like that.
for a cold weather install dosn’t look bad. but I always did roofing in the summer…
I’m not surprised they look like that if they were just laid today. Plus architectural don’t lay as flat as standard shingles do. It’s just going to take some nice sunny days to heat them up.
ok guys thanks… its just so hard to beleive ppl you dont know if your getting fucked or being told the truth. i just want my mom to be happy with them because i brought her to this place to get it done.
^The big thing is that they are in a straight row.
Put a torpedo heater in your attic for a day.
j/k fumes = bad.:biglaugh:
yea those are fine… like everyone said they need heat to settle
haha ^^ take a blow torch to them… they left a few extra shingles that they didnt use, i showed my mom how the tar on the back heats up and sticks… she felt better afterwards. i myself was stressed out because we needed a new roof… ill show you guys before pics. i dont think we could have waited out this winter for a new roof. we wanted to wait but i think if we did it would cause greater problems.
Looks like they had your bundles spread over a peak or something?
why i had to get a new roof you ask ?
