Are other NFL fans like Buffalo's?

So I’ve lived in Buffalo for about 7 years now. I’m not originally from here, but I’ve always been a Bills fan. And if you watched tonights game, you would understand why I’m sobbing as I type this.

However, my question is how are other fans in other areas of the country? I mean, we have some of the worst luck with things like this, and have such awful downs following mediocre highs but EVERY game sells out and people here are just in love with the Bills. I know I am. No matter where I go, I will always be a Bills fan. No matter what the record, or what shitty players come out. The people here are incredibly supportive of our teams and I’ve never really seen anything like it.

Are other fans like this? I’ve heard not, but I figured I would run a little survey. Yes/No/sort of.

no was told we were the best fans around by many tonight from all over

what else is there to do in Buffalo besides set yourself up to fail?

I kid, it’s what we were born and bred to do. I’ve been away for 4 years now, yet I still try to watch every game and continue to scream at my tv.

I was born a Raiders fan. Always have been always will be. I’ll support them at their lowest and be proud of it. I always found Raiders fans to be incredibly loyal. There’s a lot of history there.

This hurts man…

feels like the cowboys game all over again

Yes, there are plenty of teams that have far more loyal followings (Raiders, Packers, etc), and just as many that are on par or better ('Boys, 'Skins, Steelers, etc).

Just calling it as I see it… [/flamesuit:ON]

NO, their teams make the playoffs

nobody circles the wagons…

No in Seattle people dont really give a shit Football is just convenient if they have nothing else planned that weekend. Hell they dont even pre-game.

PSU

ohh

ummm

yes buffalo does have the best fans… just look at our Soccer team

well… i voted yes because there are fans out there like bills fans. not all fans are like us, but there are a lot out there…die hard fans. it all depends the area though.

by like buffalo, do you mean “I watched my team fail, lose, suck… but i think I’m going to do it again next week in the -20 degree weather, cuz it makes me feel better about my xxx.”

Then i’d say nope, not too many people would be that… logical :bloated:

There are some in every city. But generally, the more other stuff to do in the city, the less die-hards there are. Going to san diego games, there are a bunch that are just as hardcore as us, but just as many who would rather go to the beach or something if the team isn’t winning…

In my experience people are die hard fans in other places around the country too. Down here in Dallas people go crazy over the Cowboys whether they suck or are doing well.

I feel like the Bill’s are like the Red Sox before they won the world series. For the most part it’s painful to watch them end up failing in some shape or form every year or coming extremely close just to blow it. I think you can always count on Buffalo fans to stick with them though and keep the hope alive even if the franchise potentially moves.

Chargers forum is the same way as people here…so, i’m gonna say yes :stuck_out_tongue: but definitely not ALL teams

That’s a good point. There is no way that it isn’t directly related to that.

I meant collectively as fans though, not just how hardcore the most hardcore group is. I’ll find out on my own when I leave this city. lol

only thing that pisses me off about our fans, and I saw a ton of it. Browns fans would walk by, and our fans would scream obscenities at them and throw beer cans at them.
It’s one thing to say “booooo” but to yell “fuck you” and throw shit at them.
Classy…

GOOD I went to the Browns game last year. They treated us like shit. I got the “ass hole” chant all the way to the stadium which is about a mile walk there. We got snowballs, footballs, hot dogs… you name it, it was thrown at us. But I’m not complaining it was fun

I saw browns fans, they didn’t get it anywhere close to as bad as we did.

speaking of fans acting like classless morons (and yes i know its league wide) its one of the things i can’t stand about nfl games… yea go ahead and give them a hard time and rub it in when we score etc, but yelling obcenities/fighting/pouring beer on them etc is a joke…
